16th Annual Kernersville Oktoberfest

A ticketed afternoon fundraiser on the grounds of Koerner's Folly, the eccentric 22-room Victorian house museum in Kernersville. Guests get a souvenir tasting glass covering all beer, wine and food samples from local breweries and restaurants, plus a self-guided tour of the house they can redeem any time in October. Polka music, dancing and contests including stein-holding, speed pretzel eating and a German spelling bee fill out the afternoon. The event is strictly 21 and over because of the museum's ABC permit.
