47th Annual Oktoberfest and 21st HONK! Parade

The Harvard Square Business Association has run this street festival for nearly half a century, closing Massachusetts Avenue and the surrounding blocks for an afternoon of food, vendors and music. Since the early 2000s it has been staged jointly with the HONK! Parade, which marches in from Davis Square with dozens of activist street bands. It is one of Cambridge's largest single-day outdoor events and reaches its 47th edition in 2026.
