Avalon Park's planned community in east Orlando closes its downtown for a two-evening Oktoberfest each October. Friday is a smaller preview night in Town Park and Saturday is the full festival, with a beer garden, live bands, alpine dancing and food trucks. Wiener dog races, a bounce park and a kids' entrepreneur market make it a strong family draw.
