Bavarian Grill Oktoberfest

This long-standing Plano German restaurant runs an Oktoberfest season modelled on Munich's, with a ceremonial keg tapping opening it. The Fass Anstich is performed to accordion music and followed by an auction and raffle for local charities, with beer from the ceremonial keg poured free. Through the season the kitchen serves a Schnitzel Fest menu, and guests drink in the biergarten or join the yodelling in the dining room. The restaurant takes no reservations for the tapping and warns the biergarten can fill hours beforehand.
