The Binghamton German Club opens its Loughlin Road clubhouse for a single-afternoon Oktoberfest each September. Deutschland Express plays a four-hour set while the kitchen serves wursts, German sides and desserts, with German beers and cocktails at the bar. A bier stein hoisting competition is the centerpiece contest. Members pay a reduced door price, children's tickets are cheaper still, and lederhosen and dirndls are welcome but optional.
