Cedarburg Oktoberfest

Festivals of Cedarburg runs this free street festival in front of city hall in the historic downtown, one of four large annual events the non-profit puts on. A new Friday-evening keg tapping now opens the weekend, followed by two full days of German food, Third Space Brewing beer, glockenspiel shows and performances by groups including the Pommersche Tanzdeel folk dancers and the River City Blaskapelle brass band. Between sets the festival runs Oktoberfest trivia and contests for best lederhosen and dirndl, stein holding, best braids and pretzel eating, with a vendor market alongside.
