Cincinnati Donauschwaben Oktoberfest

The Danube Swabian society in Colerain Township turns its park over to a three-day Oktoberfest built around the group's Central European roots. The bar carries well over thirty imported and domestic drafts, and the kitchen leans on pit-roasted meats, house-made sausages and goulash with spaetzle rather than generic festival food. A Trachten parade puts more than a hundred and fifty members in traditional dress, with folk dancing following, and Sunday adds a long-running car show. Children have a fenced Kinderplatz with games and a playground.
