Columbus closes Washington Street for a single-evening Oktoberfest run by the city's downtown development office. Three separate biergartens spread along the street, with a polka band, German-inspired food and local makers selling in between. A steinholding competition is the centrepiece contest and competitors keep their 20-ounce glass stein.
