Detroit's long-standing German rathskeller runs its Oktoberfest as a series of themed evenings rather than a single outdoor festival. The opening night carries a traditional keg tapping and a reading of the proclamation, and each subsequent night pairs the bar's German kitchen and beer list with a live band. It is an indoor, bar-scale celebration in the city's north end.
