  • Live music
  • German food

The Darien Chamber of Commerce stages its annual Oktoberfest in the evening at a garden centre on the edge of town, as an adults-only fundraiser for the chamber's local business programmes. Guests get live music, German-inspired food and drink, themed games and a silent auction, with traditional dress optional but common. It is a ticketed sit-down-and-stand-around party rather than a street fair.
