The old Bevo Mill on Gravois hosts a free three-day Oktoberfest in its biergarten, with a rotating bill of brass and polka bands including out-of-town guests. Masskrugstemmen contests run all weekend and there are prizes for best-dressed guests, dogs included. It is one of the few large St. Louis Oktoberfests that charges nothing at the gate and runs rain or shine.
