Deutsche Volkstanz Gruppe Oktoberfest

Toledo's German dance society throws its own Oktoberfest at Oak Shade Grove, the same grove that hosts the big German-American Festival each August. The afternoon is built around performances: the Volkstanz dancers take the stage four times, joined by the Toledo Teutonia choirs, a children's Schuhplattler troupe and the Deutschmeister Band. Between sets there are old-country sports contests including Schleuderball and stein holding, plus a German and European car show. Admission and parking are both free.
