Downtown West Chester Oktoberfest

Rather than one fenced grounds, this Chester County borough turns its whole downtown into an Oktoberfest for a day. Around nine participating bars and restaurants pour $6 fall beers and ciders alongside seasonal small plates, while oompah bands play in the street and stein-holding contests run between sets. Free mini-pumpkin painting gives younger visitors something to do, and a latte-art throwdown benefiting the Chester County Food Bank closes out the afternoon. The event goes ahead rain or shine and costs nothing to attend.
