East Dundee Oktoberfest

The village runs its Oktoberfest out of the old railroad depot in downtown East Dundee over a Friday evening and a full Saturday. Bands play across both days, a hammerschlagen tournament and a stein-holding contest run on the Saturday, and an artisan market and food vendors fill the surrounding lot. Inflatables are free for children and a scarecrow contest brings in local businesses; admission costs nothing and wristbands are required to drink.
