Edgefield Oktoberfest

McMenamins spreads a free, all-ages Oktoberfest across its Edgefield property in Troutdale, the chain's sprawling former poor farm turned hotel and brewery campus. Two stages carry European and polka bands including the European Take-Out Band and The Polkaticians, while a pretzel and sausage station and specials like currywurst and a Little Bavaria chicken sandwich feed the crowd. Commemorative tankards filled with McMenamins' annual Oktoberfest Lager are sold for the day, and a concurrent plant and craft sale runs alongside the festival.
