The Toledo area's German-American Festival fills Oak Shade Grove in Oregon for a long late-August weekend and reached its 60th edition in 2026. Traditional German and Swiss kitchens and imported beer anchor the grounds while folk music, dancing and entertainment run across the weekend. Two heritage strength competitions give the festival its signature: Masskrugstemmen stein-lifting and Swiss Steintossen stone-throwing, alongside children's activities and contests.
