Germania Society Oktoberfest

The Germania Society of Cincinnati throws its Oktoberfest on its own wooded grounds in Colerain Township, drawing on a German-club heritage that predates most of the region's festivals. Three stages run German music all weekend while the club pours what it bills as the Tri-State's deepest imported bier list alongside traditional cooking. Competitive drinkers can try their arm at stein holding and mug sliding, and families get a playground and carnival rides on the same site. Admission is a token five dollars, with kids twelve and under and military members admitted free.
