The Germantown Historical Society's 32nd annual German festival, held on the grounds of Dheinsville Historic Park among the settlement's restored 19th-century buildings. Two days bring German bands, dancing, imported beer and a kitchen turning out brats, kraut, potato pancakes and German desserts. Saturday adds a silent auction and craft sellers, while Sunday pairs a car show with a dachshund race benefiting the county humane society. Admission and parking are both free, but the grounds are cash only.
