A long-running village tradition now run by the German restaurant Schnitzel Platz, this Oktoberfest occupies Camera Park for eleven straight days rather than a single weekend. Oompah bands play nightly under the tent alongside schnitzel, bratwurst and pretzels and a list of German beers. Bounce houses, slides and inflatables keep it usable for families during the earlier hours. Entry is free except for a small cover on Friday and Saturday evenings, which Glendale Heights residents are exempt from.
