The Rotary Club of Auburn Gold Country has run this Sierra foothills Oktoberfest for more than three decades as its main fundraiser. It is an evening event at Auburn's Regional Park with a German band, authentic German cooking and a costume contest. A silent auction and wine tasting sit alongside the beer, with proceeds going back into local causes.
