The Harugari German-American Club in West Haven has run this Oktoberfest since 1947, making it the longest-running Oktoberfest in Connecticut. It is a one-day gathering under the club's outdoor pavilion with imported German beer, German food and desserts, vendor tables and raffle prizes. Live entertainment comes from the Vagabonds, and the club waives admission for veterans and active military.
