Downtown Glendale's long-running German restaurant turns its beer garden over to Oktoberfest for three straight weekends each fall. Bavarian band Guggenbach Buam plays the evenings, and the kitchen serves the schnitzel-and-sausage menu the place has built thirty years on. A stein-holding contest runs alongside the music. Seating is by reservation and some nights sell out.
