Hilo Bay Oktoberfest

The Rotary Club of Hilo Bay has run this Oktoberfest fundraiser on the Big Island for more than a quarter century, filling Sangha Hall on Kilauea Avenue for an evening of German food, beer and wine. Live entertainment, a costume contest, games and silent and live auctions fill out the night, and proceeds go to the club's local projects and to the international campaign to eradicate polio. It is pitched as a family event rather than a beer hall night.
