Pittsburgh's South Side beer hall runs its Oktoberfest over two September weekends, each opening Friday afternoon and running long on Saturday. The first Friday is marked by a ceremonial keg tapping with a local sports figure doing the honours. Bands rotate through the main hall and the outdoor Biergarten across the afternoon and evening.
