This west Tennessee parish has run an Oktoberfest at the Henry County Fairgrounds since 1983, and it has grown into one of the larger annual gatherings in the county. The day combines a 5K fun run and walk, a sit-down meal sold by ticket, and vendor booths, with the proceeds going to parish and local charities. A separate Oktoberfest bingo afternoon follows the next weekend in the church gym.
