Iron Mountain Oktoberfest

Now in its twelfth year, Iron Mountain's Oktoberfest takes over the downtown stage and adjoining city lot for a single Saturday in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. German food vendors, Bavarian entertainment and live music from Dorf Kapelle and other acts share the day with a Mr. & Ms. Oktoberfest competition, a 21-and-over stein-holding contest and traditional games such as Hammerschlagen. A children's area with inflatables and face painting runs through the afternoon, and admission is free for children 12 and under.
