Irving's Oktoberfest race is a half marathon, 10K and 5K starting from the plaza at the Toyota Music Factory in Las Colinas. The German framing is in the finish: the post-race party has live music and beer for runners of drinking age, and the organisers pitch the day around Gemuetlichkeit rather than pure race results. Proceeds support the Irving Schools Foundation, which funds scholarships for Irving ISD student volunteers.
