Itasca Oktoberfest

Itasca's village-run Oktoberfest fills Washington Park for a Friday evening and a long Saturday, now in its eighteenth year. A local German restaurant caters the food tent with spaetzle, schnitzel, wurst, pork roast and sauerkraut, and a stein-holding contest runs at half past six each day. A Kids Corner, a stock car racing simulator and live traditional music round it out, with proceeds going to the village food pantry and walk-in ministry. Admission and parking are free.
