Kennedy School Oktoberfest Brewfest

McMenamins pours its tenth annual Oktoberfest Brewfest inside the gymnasium of the Kennedy School, a converted 1915 elementary school in Northeast Portland. Ticket holders get a brewfest glass and ten tokens to work through two dozen German-style beers and ciders that mix imports with locally brewed interpretations. Three bands play across the afternoon while an outdoor grill turns out sausages, kielbasas and pretzels, and anyone who shows up in German attire is rewarded with a prize.
