Lee Canyon Oktoberfest

Lee Canyon, the ski area an hour north of the Strip in the Spring Mountains, swaps lifts for steins on one October Saturday. Bands play on Rabbit Peak through the middle of the day while a beer garden pours seasonal brews and food vendors set up at the base. The mountain runs more than thirty degrees cooler than the Las Vegas valley, and entry is free with well-behaved leashed dogs allowed.
