A two-evening Bavarian weekend put on by the Island House Hotel on Mackinac Island, closing out the island's season. Friday opens with a ceremonial keg tapping on the hotel's front lawn, with beer and wine, appetizers, accordion music and lawn games, followed by live music at Mary's Bistro. Saturday's main event at the Ice House BBQ pairs an all-you-can-eat Bavarian buffet with an open bar, contests and a souvenir stein. The weekend is for guests twenty-one and over, and the hotel sells a lodging-plus-tickets package alongside single tickets.
