Maeystown Oktoberfest

The stone-built village of Maeystown holds its Oktoberfest around a restored rock mill and the old stone bridge, drawing more than sixty vendors of arts, crafts and antiques. Demonstrations run through the day in rug weaving, felting, blacksmithing and woodworking, and a country store operates alongside. The food leans on the village's German roots with bratwurst, apple butter and pies, plus turtle soup, potato pancakes and popcorn cooked in old-fashioned kettles. Shops, the museum and local restaurants stay open all day.
