Meridian Oktoberfest

The Meridian Chamber of Commerce closes Idaho Avenue in downtown Meridian for a single all-day Oktoberfest that runs from mid-morning into the evening. Four Idaho breweries pour alongside roughly sixty vendor booths of artisan goods, and German-inspired food such as bratwurst and pretzels anchors the menu. Competitions run through the day - stein racing, pretzel tossing, eating contests and polka dancing - with kid-friendly crafts, games and a youth strudel eating contest making it a family event as well as a beer one.
