Minster, a heavily German-settled village in Auglaize County, has been staging this three-day Oktoberfest since 1975 and now draws crowds many times the size of the town itself. Food and craft stands open along the park each evening, German music and dancing run on multiple stages, and the competitive calendar covers a beer tray relay, a jug hoist, a 10K, a car show and Miss Oktoberfest and Little Miss Oktoberfest pageants. Sunday begins with a celebration Mass and ends with the afternoon parade, after which the stands close for the year.
