Downtown Mount Prospect closes the corner of Emerson and Busse for a Friday evening and Saturday of German food and drink under the organisation of its downtown merchants. The band Paloma carries the live German music, and Saturday adds a children's fall festival of crafts and activities in the afternoon. A quiet hour at midday Saturday is set aside for children with special needs before the main programming starts.
