Mountain Creek Oktoberfest

Mountain Creek, the ski resort in Vernon in New Jersey's northwestern corner, runs its Oktoberfest at the mountain base across a September weekend, now in its forty-second year. The pour list stretches well past German lagers to ciders, hard sodas and seltzers, served alongside authentic German dishes and standard festival fare. The resort's summer attractions stay open, so sky rides and the mountain coaster run through the day, and the grounds add lawn games, a petting zoo, inflatables and face painting. A new addition for 2026 is goat racing, staged every half hour through the afternoon.
