Newport's brewery and distillery on JT Connell Highway runs a two-day Oktoberfest across a Friday evening and Saturday, pouring German-inspired beers brewed for the occasion. Live entertainment plays both days and the brewery advertises it as open to the public. It is one of very few Oktoberfest events left in Newport since the Fort Adams festival stopped running.
