Oaks Park Oktoberfest

Oaks Amusement Park turns its riverside grounds over to a three-day Oktoberfest each September, layering a German festival onto a working amusement park. Oompah bands and traditional dancers perform, imported beer and German cooking are served, and cooking demonstrations run through the weekend. Wiener dog races are the signature draw, and a Kinderplatz area keeps younger visitors busy; admission is tiered so families can pay for the gate alone or add a ride wristband.
