A free two-day neighborhood street festival that takes over the intersection of Fruitvale and MacArthur in Oakland's Dimond District, co-run by the area's improvement and merchants associations. It is unusually beer-forward for a free event - upwards of two hundred craft beers, wine and a full bar alongside traditional German food - but bills itself as Oakland's family-friendly beer festival, with a dedicated family area and free entry for all ages. Five stages carry live music from German polka outward, and Sunday is Dirndl Day, when guests turn out in Bavarian dress.
