Okeene Germanfest

Okeene, in northwest Oklahoma, was settled largely by Germans from Russia, and this one-day festival has marked that lineage since 2016. The day starts with a keg tapping and runs through a 5K and fun run, a German costume contest, and bake-offs for bierocks and German desserts, with schnitzel, brats, German potato salad and Bavarian kraut on the food line. It is organised by the town's historic preservation group as a fundraiser.
