The Museums of Western Colorado hold their Oktoberfest on the grounds of Cross Orchards, a preserved early-twentieth-century farm on the edge of Grand Junction. Alongside the beer garden and live music, the site runs its own heritage attractions for the day, including apple pressing, the narrow-gauge train and wood shop demonstrations. Entry is free, with wristbands sold for the tastings.
