Buffalo's Hofbrauhaus runs Oktoberfest as a season rather than a single weekend, opening with a ceremonial barrel tapping of Munich-imported Oktoberfest beer and then stacking German bands across successive Friday and Saturday nights. Die Haus Band, the Bergholz German Band and visiting German-American musicians carry the live music, with DJ sets running late afterwards. The celebration takes place at the brewery's Scott Street haus and biergarten in downtown Buffalo.
