Oktoberfest at Overton Square

Memphis's Overton Square entertainment district closes its Chimes Square courtyard for a free Saturday-afternoon Oktoberfest, now in its fourth year. A polka band and traditional German folk dancers perform while craft beer and German food are sold around the courtyard, and a stein-holding contest runs during the afternoon. A market of local makers sets up alongside, and both children and dogs are welcome.
