Oktoberfest at Pipestem Resort State Park

Pipestem Resort State Park stages a Bavarian-themed Oktoberfest weekend in the southern West Virginia mountains at peak leaf season. The park's aerial tramway carries visitors down to Mountain Creek Lodge, where locally brewed draft beer, giant pretzels and German fare are served alongside live entertainment running through the day at several venues. A Marketplatz of regional artisans sells handcrafted goods, and the weekend also folds in a car show of antique and collectible automobiles, guided hikes, golf and games.
