Oktoberfest at The Wharf

The Wharf's waterfront district on the Washington Channel hosts a free afternoon Oktoberfest on District Pier, built around the Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash - a dachshund race now in its fourteenth running whose entry fees benefit Rural Dog Rescue. Alongside the racing there is a stein hoisting championship, a best-dressed contest and an adoptable dog parade. It is a spectator-free, dog-centered take on Oktoberfest rather than a ticketed beer festival.
