Oktoberfest Celebration at Southern Appalachian Brewery

This Hendersonville brewery has run an Oktoberfest each autumn for sixteen years, held as a single Saturday afternoon in and around the taproom. A regional polka band plays while German food comes in from nearby restaurants and bakeries. The afternoon is built around competitions, with a costume contest, a stein hoist and a dachshund race that takes registrations on the day.
