The German American Heritage Center runs this one-day street festival in downtown Davenport, on the square named for the city's German sister city. It is a compact, free event built around a polka band, German-inspired food from local kitchens, and a special Oktoberfest brew from a Quad Cities brewery. Stein holding and Hammerschlagen contests run through the afternoon, and groups can reserve a long table for one of two seating blocks.
