The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad runs a single adults-only Oktoberfest excursion from its Chama depot each September. The roughly six-and-a-half-hour round trip climbs over the 10,015-foot Cumbres Pass to Osier Station and back, with a German-inspired dinner of bratwurst, sausage, sauerkraut, roasted potatoes and pretzel rolls served along the way. A tasting flight of five German beers is included, plus two drink tickets. Everyone aboard must be 21 or older and show photo identification.
