A free afternoon fall festival at Lafayette Village, the European-styled shopping village in north Raleigh. The centerpiece is the village's annual wiener dog races, run in three age divisions across the afternoon and capped at fifty registered dachshunds, with live music and food and seasonal drinks from the on-site restaurants around it. The day also kicks off voting in the village's Scarecrows on the Square display.
