The City of Gaithersburg puts on a free one-day Oktoberfest in the Kentlands, spread across the Arts Barn, Kentlands Mansion, the Village Green and the surrounding streets. Multiple stages carry traditional Bavarian music and dancing alongside local, regional and national acts, with artisan vendors, a business expo and fall activities for families. Admission, parking and the accessible shuttle are all free, and the festival reaches its thirty-third year in 2026 having drawn as many as 30,000 people.
